Brass band in Godalming since 1937
Godalming Band will lead the short parade from the Wilfrid Noyce Community Centre to the Pepperpot for the official lighting of the lantern in Godalming to celebrate the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee.
The lantern has been specially commissioned to celebrate the Jubilee, along with many others around the country as part of the official celebrations - but with a local twist, with Godalming being the home of the first public, electric street lights!
The march off is at around 9.10pm with the lighting of the lantern at 9.45pm. Please join us en route down the High Street or at the Pepperpot.
